It combines the rigor of a university education in environmental sciences with the operational nature of a risk manager position.<\/p>\n<h3>Market challenges and career opportunities<\/h3>\n<p>The regulatory obligations of classified installations (ICPE), the requirements of international donors regarding risk assessment, the strengthening of civil protection measures, and the increase in climate change-related disasters create strong demand. Oil majors, mining companies, cement factories, construction, insurers, and local authorities are actively recruiting.<\/p>\n<h3>Curriculum pedagogical structure<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Year 1 \u2014 Scientific Fundamentals.<\/strong> Environmental sciences (water, air, soils, biodiversity), general chemistry and ecochemistry, descriptive statistics, introduction to law, scientific methodology and technical writing, written and oral communication, technical English, advanced office skills.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Year 2 \u2014 Industrial Risks and Regulation.<\/strong> Ecotoxicology and impacts on ecosystems, law of classified installations (ICPE) in Africa, environmental impact study (EIE) and environmental and social management plan (PGES), hazard study (EDD) and industrial risk analysis, emergency plans (POI, PPI), environmental audit ISO 14001, environmental liability law.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Year 3 \u2014 Specialization in Crisis Management and Insurance.<\/strong> Management of natural disasters (floods, landslides, droughts, earthquakes), disaster risk reduction (Sendai framework), environmental insurance and carbon funds, combating accidental pollution (oil spills, chemical leaks), AI and environmental monitoring (sensors, satellites, drones), environmental crisis communication, professional ethics.
