The commercial value of sustainable wood will increasingly depend on the quality of traceability data, not just the physical quality of the product or the existence of a certificate. For a forestry SME, a sawmill, or an administration, this changes daily work: it is necessary to link the forest, the factory, transport, sales, and compliance in a single proof file.<\/p>\n<p>Sources are aligned. AFi emphasizes mapping, the control chain, and reliable evidence. The European Commission reminds that the European regulation against deforestation particularly covers wood and requires demonstrating that the products concerned are deforestation-free and compliant with the legislation of the producing country.
