The University of Michigan-Flint (UM-Flint) is renowned for over six decades of academic excellence, with origins dating back to 1837, when it was initially established as Flint Senior College. Its founding was influenced by Sarah C. Miles Case, a resident of Ann Arbor, and it became a fully recognized institution in 1956. Today, UM-Flint is an important part of the University of Michigan system, alongside its campuses in Ann Arbor and Dearborn.

Victoria University of Wellington is one of the oldest and most prestigious institutions in New Zealand, renowned for its academic excellence. Founded in 1897, the university began teaching in 1899, with research initiatives led by pioneers.
The university has three campuses, with Kelburn being the main center in the city of Wellington. The Pipitea campus houses the Wellington School of Business and Government and the law faculty. The Te Aro campus is the heart of the architecture and design programs.
As one of the top universities in New Zealand, VUW hosts over 17,000 students from 120+ countries. It employs 2,200 full-time staff, including 1,000 dedicated to teaching and research. The university has nine faculties, eight of which lead teaching and research.
