The University of Michigan-Flint (UM-Flint) is renowned for over six decades of academic excellence, with origins dating back to 1837, when it was initially established as Flint Senior College. Its founding was influenced by Sarah C. Miles Case, a resident of Ann Arbor, and it became a fully recognized institution in 1956. Today, UM-Flint is an important part of the University of Michigan system, alongside its campuses in Ann Arbor and Dearborn.

The University of Surrey was founded in September 1966 with the granting of its royal charter, but its history dates back to the late 19th century when it aimed to provide better access to higher education for the working population of London. In 2016, the University celebrated the 125th anniversary of its founding. Surrey has two main campuses - Stag Hill and Manor Park. Both are close to downtown Guildford. Stag Hill is the academic center, while Manor Park offers student housing, sports facilities, and research spaces. The University of Surrey plans to have a campus in Gujarat, India, in 2026-27. It hosts approximately 16,277 students from over 185 nationalities, creating a diverse and welcoming environment. Surrey is ranked among the best universities in the UK and offers a variety of programs. Its interdisciplinary approach allows students to gain practical experience and familiarize themselves with the industry. Additionally, the University of Surrey is known for its research, with 123 research centers working on global challenges and innovations.

The Surrey Space Centre is a world-class center of excellence in space engineering. The mission of the University is to disseminate knowledge that guides and underpins advancements in space engineering and its applications in the space sector. The University offers several scholarships, including country-specific and subject-specific scholarships, to support students in their studies. Student well-being is a priority, with modern libraries, sports complexes, and other facilities designed to enhance academic and personal growth. The University of Surrey's Professional Placement training helps students acquire industry-relevant skills, making them highly valued by employers. This hands-on training is reflected in the excellent outcomes of Surrey graduates, with 95% of them securing employment. Furthermore, about 80% of placements are paid, and approximately 57% of students earn a salary between £18,000 and £30,000.
