University of South Florida
The University of Michigan-Flint (UM-Flint) is renowned for over six decades of academic excellence, with origins dating back to 1837, when it was initially established as Flint Senior College. Its founding was influenced by Sarah C. Miles Case, a resident of Ann Arbor, and it became a fully recognized institution in 1956. Today, UM-Flint is an important part of the University of Michigan system, alongside its campuses in Ann Arbor and Dearborn.
The University of South Florida (USF) was established in 1956, with classes starting on September 26, 1960. Although it is a relatively young institution, USF has been recognized for its rapid growth and commitment to academic excellence. The University is a high-impact research institution at the forefront of advancements in health, environmental sustainability, and global and national security.
USF operates three campuses in Florida, namely the main campus in Tampa, the Sarasota-Manatee campus, and the St. Petersburg campus. The Tampa campus is a leading public research institution, recognized by the Carnegie Foundation for its highest research activity and community engagement.
The University of South Florida is a dynamic and inclusive institution, home to a diverse community of 48,732 students from over 146 countries around the world. The University has also received the American Council on Education/Fidelity Investments Award for Institutional Transformation for its research.
