About Course
The Year 1 & 2 en Diplomacy is an initial training program that allows students to acquire the necessary foundations to understand diplomatic and international issues. It is generally integrated after the baccalaureate and is prepared over two years. The program is multidisciplinary and covers subjects such as international relations, international law, international political economy, history of international relations, international organizations, and modern languages. This training aims to develop students' critical thinking and prepare them for careers in the diplomatic field and international relations.
To enroll in this program, students generally need to hold a general baccalaureate degree with specializations in history-geography, geopolitics and political science, foreign languages, or economic and social sciences. The curriculum varies by university but often includes theoretical courses and practical applications. Students may also have the opportunity to undertake internships or international projects to gain practical experience. The program is often taught in English or other foreign languages to prepare students for an international job market.
After obtaining their Bachelor's degrees in Diplomacy (Years 1 & 2), students have several career options. They can pursue further studies with a Master's degree in Diplomacy, International Relations, or a complementary field such as journalism, communication, law, or economics. Career prospects are varied and include positions such as International Relations Officer, International Project Assistant, International Consultant, Geopolitical Analyst, or Public Relations Manager. Graduates can work for ministries, embassies, international organizations, NGOs, or multinational corporations.
