Institution and recognition
1 Is UNIVGA a legally recognized institution?
Yes. The UNIVGA GROUP is registered with the National Agency for Investment Promotion of Gabon (ANPI-Gabon) and has all the legal registrations: NIF 370669-C, RCCM GA-LBV-01-2020-A10-01945, and CNSS 014-0205895-A. The institution is also officially recognized by the Ministry of Vocational Training under authorization no. 000306/MENICFP/SG/DGFP/DFP, which enables it to train and issue training certificates as well as diplomas at Bac+2 level, notably the DTS.
2 Who awards Bachelor's, Master's, and MBA degrees?
UNIVGA is authorized to directly issue training certificates and diplomas at the Bac+2 level (DTS). For higher-level diplomas — Professional License, Bachelor, Professional Master, MBA, DBA — they are issued by our local or international partner universities. This collaboration ensures that your diplomas benefit from broad academic recognition, beyond the borders of Gabon. The list of partnerships is presented on the page Reconnaissance.
3 Does UNIVGA have international recognition?
Yes, at several levels. In the UK, GROUPE UNIVGA is registered under company number 12581906, recognized by HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) under VAT number GB353434312, and listed in the UK Register of Approved Educational Institutions under UKPRN 10086514. UNIVGA is also accredited (ID: CINVU11GA2019I1156) as a member of the executive board and educational committee of CINVU (Comstech Inter-Islamic Network on Virtual Universities), which operates under the auspices of the Permanent Committee for Scientific and Technological Cooperation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). This accreditation attests to our academic excellence and our contribution to higher education globally.
4 What is CINVU and why is this accreditation important?
CINVU (Comstech Inter-Islamic Network on Virtual Universities) is an international network that promotes cooperation and knowledge sharing among virtual universities and higher education institutions in member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). UNIVGA serves as a member of the executive board and educational committee under ID CINVU11GA2019I1156. This accreditation certifies the quality of our teaching, our academic standards, and our commitment to digital higher education within a network covering over 50 countries.
5 Where is UNIVGA physically located?
The headquarters of GROUPE UNIVGA is located in Libreville, Gabon — Nzeng-Ayong District, Chantier Moderne, top floor, door on the right of the tiled building opposite Plaisance. Although our teaching is 100% online, we have a physical presence for welcoming students, receiving enrollment documents, and settling tuition fees. The institution is also incorporated in the UK as a company (Company Number 12581906), which enhances its international dimension.
6 What is the difference between GROUPE UNIVGA and the Virtual University of Gabon?
GROUPE UNIVGA is the official and administrative name of the institution, which appears on all legal documents, registrations, and ministerial authorizations. "Virtual University of Gabon" (or UNIVGA) is the trade name adopted to reflect the 100% digital nature of the institution and facilitate its identification by the public. Therefore, it is the same entity: the administrative name is GROUPE UNIVGA, and the commonly used name is Virtual University of Gabon.
Pedagogy and platform
7 How does a lesson actually work on the platform?
Each lesson is structured in several progressive steps. You start with the Essentials of the course (written text + audio + downloadable PDF), which includes a detailed explained case study, a FAQ, and preparation questions. Then, you validate 3 mandatory activities: Key Points (10 enrichments), Situational Exercise (professional decision-making simulation), and Evaluation (timed quiz). All 3 activities must be completed to unlock the next lesson.
8 Are the courses downloadable and accessible offline?
Yes. Each lesson includes an audio course that you can listen to at any time, as well as a downloadable PDF containing the entire written content of the lesson. You can therefore review offline, while on the go, or without internet access. The audio content is particularly appreciated by students who wish to learn on the move.
9 What is the case study integrated into each lesson?
Each lesson contains a case study directly integrated into the course content. It is accompanied by a section of in-depth explanation to help you understand how theory applies in a concrete situation. These cases are drawn from real professional contexts (African and international) and allow you to anchor your learning in practice from the very first reading.
10 What is the purpose of review questions at the end of a lesson?
The preparation questions located at the end of each lesson have a dual purpose. First, they allow you to deepen your understanding of the course through your own research and personal reflections. Second, for students in degree programs, they serve to prepare your discussions during course explanation sessions with your educational supervisor via videoconference. By working on them in advance, you get the most out of each session.
11 Are the assessments corrected automatically?
Yes, all mandatory activities (Key Points, Situational Exercise, Evaluation) are automatically graded by the platform. You receive immediate feedback on your answers with your score and mastery level. This allows you to quickly identify your gaps and revisit the necessary concepts before continuing your progress.
12 Why are activities mandatory to proceed to the next lesson?
The progressive unlocking system ensures that each student truly grasps the concepts before moving on. The 3 mandatory activities (Key Points, Scenario, and Assessment) verify different skills: comprehension, decision-making, and recall. This rigorous pedagogical model ensures the quality of the course and the value of your training.
Enrollment and payment
13 What documents do I need to provide for a certification training?
For certification training, only a copy of your identity document is required. Certification trainings are open to the general public without any prior diploma requirement. You can even make the payment in advance — the training will actually start after the administration receives and validates your identity document.
14 What documents do I need to provide for a diploma training?
For diploma training, you must provide at least: a copy of your Baccalauréat certificate or diploma, a copy of your identity document, and a recent passport photo. Depending on your enrollment level (L3/Bachelor: proof of Bac+2; Master/MBA: Bac+3 degree; DBA: Master Bac+5), additional documents will be required. Tuition fees are only paid after your file has been validated by the administration.
15 How do I submit my registration documents?
You have two options. You can submit your documents directly online via the pre-registration form, or you can go in person to the UNIVGA Group headquarters in Libreville, Nzeng-Ayong Quarter, Chantier Moderne (top floor, door on the right of the tiled building opposite Plaisance). In both cases, your documents will be verified before official validation.
16 What are the accepted payment methods?
UNIVGA accepts several payment methods: via Mobile Money, directly online on the website, in person at the Libreville headquarters, or by international transfer. To know the exact details suited to your payment method, contact the administration.
17 How long after payment do the classes begin?
Thanks to the 100% digital nature of the institution, courses generally start between 1 and 3 business days after your payment confirmation. This short delay allows the administration to finalize your file, create your student account, and set up your access to the platform with all your subjects.
certification training
18 What is the duration of a certification training?
The maximum duration of a certification training is 3 months. However, since you progress at your own pace by completing the activities of each lesson, you can certainly finish well before the 3 months if you progress quickly. There are no time constraints or imposed academic calendar — unlike diploma trainings.
19 Can I benefit from Zoom sessions and supervised homework for a certification course?
By default, certification trainings operate in complete autonomy with assistance from the administrative team. However, if you wish to benefit from personalized human support (video conference explanation sessions, supervised assignments), this option is available upon request from the management. After evaluating your situation, a personalized quote will be proposed — whether for individual support or company coverage.
20 Do certification courses provide a diploma?
Certification trainings provide a certificate of competence attesting to your mastery of the studied field. This is not a university LMD diploma. To obtain a recognized diploma (Bachelor, Master, MBA, DBA), you must enroll in one of UNIVGA's diploma trainings, which benefit from complete support with dedicated teachers, an academic calendar, and supervised assignments.
21 What type of support do I have during my certification training?
You benefit from the assistance of the UNIVGA administrative team for all your administrative and technical questions. Each activity is automatically evaluated with immediate feedback on your answers, and your progress is tracked lesson by lesson with clear indicators. The FAQ integrated into each lesson answers the most common doubts, and the preparation questions guide you in your personal research.
22 What is the difference between certification training and diploma training at UNIVGA?
The main difference lies in the support and recognition. Diploma trainings (Bachelor, Master, MBA, DBA) include complete human support: dedicated teachers, video conference sessions, personalized academic calendar, supervised assignments, and defense for L3 level and above. They follow the LMD system with ECTS credits. Certification trainings, on the other hand, are 100% autonomous, open without prerequisites, with a maximum duration of 3 months, with administrative support and automated corrections. Personalized support is available upon request for an additional cost.
Degree programs
23 How do video conferencing sessions with teachers typically go?
Video conference sessions are live sessions on Zoom or Google Meet, scheduled according to your personalized academic calendar. They include in-depth explanations of the courses by your educational supervisors, interactive Q&A exchanges tailored to your difficulties, as well as supervised assignments in real-time. Connection links are sent to you by email before each session. This calendar is provided to you upon registration.
24 How does supervised homework via videoconference work?
Supervised assignments take place live on Zoom or Google Meet, under the conditions of a real exam. You will complete them within a set time, with your camera on, under the supervision of your educational supervisor. These evaluations are planned in advance in your academic calendar and complement the automatic evaluations of the platform to ensure maximum academic rigor.
25 How does a video conference defense go?
For L3, Bachelor, Master, MBA, or DBA level trainings, the course concludes with an oral defense before an academic jury via Zoom or Google Meet. The date is set in agreement with your personal schedule, and you will have a complete preparation guide well in advance. You will present your final work (report, thesis, or dissertation depending on the level), followed by questions from the jury. This defense officially validates your course and conditions the obtaining of your diploma.
26 What is the personalized academic calendar?
Once your registration is validated, a personalized academic calendar will be provided to you. It organizes your course by defining the periods of classes, the dates of video conference sessions, supervised assignments, and, if applicable, the defense. This calendar ensures serious monitoring and structured progress while allowing you the flexibility of online learning — without the constraints of permanent live classes.
27 Can I register during the year?
Yes, registrations are open throughout the year thanks to the digital format of UNIVGA. Your personalized academic calendar is established from your effective registration date, allowing you to start at any time. Each student thus follows an individualized path, independently of others.
