About Course
Fifth generation networks (5G) will facilitate the emergence of a vast IoT (Internet of Things) ecosystem in which networks will be able to meet the communication needs of billions of connected objects, thanks to a compromise between speed, latency (response time), and cost. 5G goes far beyond just improving speed.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
-
Characterize the modes in 5G (eMBB, uRLLC, mMTC) and list the main functional entities and their roles (gNB, AMF, SMF, UPF, UDM, AUSF)
-
Justify how the "massive MIMO" technique represents a technological leap for 5G
-
Select, based on a traffic and mobility profile, a radio connection management strategy to minimize signaling flows
-
Describe the interactions between network functions (NF) based on the specification of a simple service in a service-based architecture (SBA).
