The Virtual University of Gabon honored and awarded the first honorary doctorate to Dr. Andrea Giannetto, President of the NGO IDA (Initiative for the Development of Africa) for his remarkable work on behalf of children, disadvantaged women, and youth.
IDA is part of the EU NGO Transparency Register. IDA is an organization with special consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).
IDA aims to contribute to world food and dignity for all, to protect children, women, and youth, to provide emergency assistance, and to promote education, basic health, and social integration for the most disadvantaged. Dr. Claude Keh, on behalf of the Virtual University of Gabon, honors Dr. Andrea Giannetto during a solemn celebration in Libreville.
